KIZZY CRAWFORD

Kizzy Crawford is a Welsh singer-songwriter of Bajan heritage, blending jazz, folk, soul, and funk. In 2019, she released her debut album via 2019 Freestyle Records and received support from the PRS Women in Music fund & PRS for Music for promotion and touring. In 2021, she launched her debut Welsh language album, *Rhydd*, via Sain Records.
Her music has been featured on BBC Radio 1, 2, 6Music, Jazz FM, and more, with her single "Progression" added to several notable playlists. Kizzy has performed at major festivals including Glastonbury, L’Orient, Cheltenham Jazz, London Jazz Festival, Green Man, Cornbury Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival, Wakestock and more as well at prestigious venues including the National Assembly for Wales and the House of Commons.
Kizzy has collaborated with Joss Stone on a live performance of Kizzy's track Golden Brown as well as performing with Welsh opera star Bryn Terfel. Kizzy has supported many renowned acts including Newton Faulkner, Omar and Cerys Mathews. She has composed many pieces for TV & Film and she co-wrote music for the project *Birdsong-Can Yr Adar* with Gwilym Simcock. Kizzy has also played characters in several tv & theatre shows including PC Emma Jones in BBC’s *Keeping Faith* and Petula in National Theatre Wales production of Petula.

Come join Hay Regenerative soils between 10am-1pm for 3 hours of worm loving creativity. We will be turning builders buckets into worm mansions that you can take home and feed your food scraps to. The main focus of this workshop is the creativity, we want you to design and be colourful with what your worms will live in!! This is specifically targeted at young people but adults can certainly get involved too
Bring all your scrap/ shredded paper as this will create a lush bedding for your worms and we’ll provide the rest!
To ensure we have enough buckets available please do email tim@clan-cic.org to reserve your spot, and you too can take home your very own wormery and we will teach you how to use it :)
This is also a wonderful opportunity to learn about this community interest company that’s focusing on circular systems and creating nutrient availability microbes that will support food production in the local area

Restorative Yoga and Sound Bath

Join Kate and Phoebe for a two-hour immersive and restorative evening.
We’ll spend the first part of the session moving through gentle postures to unwind and prepare the body for rest, followed by Yoga Nidra (a guided relaxation) , and ending the evening with soothing songs and sound from Kate Daggett and Phoebe Curry. Our aim is to lull you into a restful state and help you unwind during these darker, colder months.
This session is suitable for beginners and those new to yoga.
Please bring a comfortable mat to lie on, extra blankets, layers, and anything else you might need for your practice. The bar will be open, serving teas, coffee, and cake.
Lmited places available, please book early. Doors open at 7:00 PM, and we aim to begin promptly at 7:30 PM, finishing around 9:30 PM.

WILD HARE CLUB: live music from Jeb Loy Nichols & Clovis Phillips and The Breaks and dj sets from DJ jus'jay

The Wild Hare Club returns to the convivial surroundings of The Globe in Hay-on-Wye with a rare show by Jeb Loy Nichols who will be appearing on stage with musician and producer Clovis Phillips. Jeb has been described as 'America's high priest of country cool’ by Rolling Stone magazine no less, an indication of the high esteem he is held in by all those who know his music.
The duo will be playing songs from their acoustic ‘Three Fools’ album as well as songs from across Nichols’ extensive back catalogue, including 2022’s widely feted ‘United States of the Broken Hearted’ which was produced by legendary Adrian Sherwood and released on On-U Sound Records. Expect heart-tugging songs, encompassing elements of folk, blues and reggae as well as deep country soul.
Opening the show are special guests, The Breaks, Herefordshire’s most exciting band of the moment, whose jazz-infused hip-hop and funk is fast evolving and winning over ever more friends.
In between sets, DJ Jus' Jay will be guiding the flow of the evening with a unique mix of pastoral jewels and mellow grooves.
2025 marks the 20th anniversary of the Wild Hare Club and Jeb’s show is the first of several very special events planned to celebrate human music on a human scale.

Hay Music Presents - Engegård String Quartet, one of Norway’s most sought after ensembles playing Norwegian folk music

The illustrious Engegård Quartet will present a relaxed evening of Norwegian Folk music using traditional instruments.
Formed under the midnight sun in Lofoten in 2005, the Engegård Quartet has rapidly become one of Norway’s most sought after ensembles. Their bold, fresh interpretations of the classical repertoire combined with a deep attachment to their Scandinavian roots has attracted international acclaim and inspired some innovative partnerships and programming.The Quartet has a busy concert schedule throughout Scandinavia and further afield. They have performed in some of Europe’s finest venues including the Mozarteum in Salzburg and Prague’s Rudolfinum, as well as making several tours to South America. They appear in international festivals such as Delft Chamber Music Festival, SoNoRo Festival in Bucharest and Heidelberg’s Streichquartettfest.

Swing from Paris

Swing from Paris are a quartet of violin (Fenner Curtis), guitars (Andy Bowen and Sam
Hughes) and double bass (Tomasz Williams), inspired by the great swing bands of the
1930s, ’40s and ’50s such as Benny Goodman, Charlie Christian, Django Reinhardt,
Stéphane Grappelli and the Hot Club of France.
Their Parisian-flavoured jazz and gypsy swing has been delighting audiences for over 15
years: from major jazz festivals including Brecon, Cheltenham and the Django Reinhardt
Festival at Samois sur Seine, to being seen on the BBC’s Hairy Bikers and performing at the
opening of the award-winning Gloucester Services.
Their latest recording together is I Love Paris (2024), available digitally and on CD. Expect

Our band consists of highly skilled and musically educated musicians who perform these pieces with excellence.
