Fundamental to our mission is community, and there are many ways to join ours! Whether it's front and centre or backstage, we'd love to have you on our team. Check out some of the ways you can get involved below, and contact us if you’re interested!
Volunteering
Whether you can spare a few hours a month or a few days each week, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved. Most of our volunteers support our Front of House team, helping to welcome visitors, assist audiences and work alongside our Events Coordinator to ensure every event runs smoothly.
We're also proud to support young people completing their Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) volunteering section. Volunteering at The Globe is a great opportunity to build confidence, develop communication and teamwork skills, gain valuable experience, and contribute to the local community in a welcoming and supportive environment.
We understand that everyone has different commitments, so we'll always do our best to work around your availability. As a thank you for your time, our volunteers enjoy a range of benefits, including: free tickets to Globe at Hay events, heavily discounted food and drink, priority access to tickets for our flagship festival, HowTheLightGetsIn.
Events
Whether you're planning a one-off event, launching a new series, or looking for a permanent home for an established group, our flexible spaces provide the perfect setting to bring people together. From talks, workshops and community gatherings to corporate events, private dinners and live performances, our experienced team will help you create a memorable event from start to finish.
Are you a talented musician looking to perform? We'd love to hear from you. We regularly showcase emerging and established artists as part of our popular Saturday Live programme, as well as hosting concerts, gigs and special music events throughout the year.
Fundraising
We are proud to have hosted many great fundraising events for local causes we believe in and will always make room in our programme where possible. We previously supported groups such as 'Hay to Timbuktu', 'Plan B' and the 'Belize Gateway Trust', we're always happy to hear from groups looking to make a difference.
Content Creation
Are you passionate about photography, videography or content creation? We'd love to hear from you. We're always looking for talented creatives to help capture the atmosphere, stories and special moments that make The Globe such a vibrant community venue. From live music and festivals to family events, workshops and talks, there's always something unique to document.
Whether you're looking to build your portfolio, gain experience, or simply enjoy creating content in a lively cultural setting, we'd love to work with you. Your work will help us showcase The Globe across our website and social media, inspiring even more people to discover everything we have to offer.
